Rodney Allen "Beretta" Huckaby, Sr., 59, of Jamestown, formerly of Columbia, died Friday, October 11, 2013 at 5:36amET, at the Casey County Hospital in Liberty, KY, after an illness.

Funeral services will be Monday, October 14, 2013 at 1pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Daryl Coe officiating. Burial in Bethlehem Cemetery in Russell County, KY. Visitation after 5pmCT, Sunday, October 13, 2013, at the funeral home.

He was born October 22, 1953, in Cincinnati, OH. He was the son of the late Hobert & Juanita Saunders Huckaby. He died Friday, October 11, 2013, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 59 years, 11 months, and 20 days.

He was general laborer.

Survivors include:
  • His wife: Mary Popplewell Huckaby of Jamestown, KY

  • One son: Rodney (Janet) Huckaby, Jr., of Columbia, KY

  • One daughter: Michelle (Ronald) Robertson of Russell Springs, KY

  • Six brothers: Randy, Roger, Rick & Bill Huckaby all of Columbia, KY; and Russell and Ray Huckaby, both of Russell Springs, KY

  • One sister: Jean Terry of Columbia, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Shayann & Remington Huckaby, and Taylor Burton

  • Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends
