Carl B. Wheat, Sr. age 83 years of Midway, KY. formerly of Columbia, Ky. passed away Sunday, October 6, 2013 at 1:30pmET at his home.

Graveside service Sunday, October 13, 2013 at 1:30pmCT/2:30pmET, at Columbia Cemetery, 315 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with burial to follow. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

He was born Tuesday, April 29, 1930 in Adair County, KY. He was the son of the late Cyrus Conda & Dewey Eva Voils Wheat. He passed away Sunday, October 6, 2013, in Midway, Woodford County, KY, at the age of 83 years, six months, and 7 days.

He is survived by the following:
  • Two sons: Carl Bryan Wheat, Jr. of Duluth, GA; and Dennis Wheat of Chicago, IL

  • Two daughters: Deborah Wheat of Midway, KY and Karen Tampier of Portage, IN

  • Nine grandchildren: David, Erika, Carl III, Nicole, Danielle, Brandon, Samantha, Tyler, Kyle, Alysa and Sahuna

  • Five great grandchildren: Ava, David Jr., Issack Arianna and Trinity

  • Several other relatives and friends
He was retired from Electronic cable company for International in Chicago, IL.
