By Jayne Hopkins

My daughter was rushed to Kosair a few hours after she was born.

We stayed at the Ronald McDonald House for 10 days and it was an amazing experience.

My husband and I met so many people there and were able to pray for other families going through even more difficult situations than we were.

We didn't have time to pack and the Ronald McDonald House made it so that we could focus on our newborn baby girl - who is 9 months old now and is considered a miracle because she is exactly where she needs to be developmentally, etc.

Anyway, a thank you to Melinda Rhoads for writing this article and encouraging people to donate to the Ronald McDonald Charities.

I never realized what they did until we needed their help.

We were running on about 2 hours of sleep a night, but the Ronald McDonald House even has Tempurpedic beds to provide the best sleep possible.

They really think of every detail for families going through difficult medical issues.

I will never forget the Ronald McDonald House-- even though I pray we never find ourselves in that situation again.

Please support this amazing charity! --Jayne Hopkins Comments re article 62571 Melinda Rhoads shares her story of Ronald McDonald House
