Comment: Columbia/Adair Co. much better community than most 'All communities face difficult issues, it is how those issues are resolved that make your area a much better place to live than many other parts of our state.' - ED HEUSTIS By Ed Heustis I am not a member of your community although I read your paper daily. I have observed that in many communities people would much rather gripe than get involved. If they get involved they have to do something other than sit at home and complain. I have been in your community many times and Columbia/Adair County is so much better than most others. All communities face difficult issues, it is how those issues are resolved that make your area a much better place to live than many other parts of our state. - Ed Heustis Thanks - What a wonderful comment. Thanks so much. I've always found that, in private, most people agree on so many goals, and when they actually realize that, public discourse becomes much more civil and productive. - Ed Waggener This story was posted on 2013-10-07 08:53:44
