LWC Women's Swimming defeats Campbellsville 78-43 The Blue Raiders Laura Stephenson earned a spot in the NAIA National Championships in the 100 and 200 butterfly and was invited to nationals in the 200 individual medley. By Jay Nichols News from Lindsey Wilson COLUMBIA, KY - The Lindsey Wilson women's swimming team beat Campbellsville 78-43 in their opening meet of the season. The Blue Raiders Laura Stephenson earned a spot in the NAIA National Championships in the 100 and 200 butterfly and was invited to nationals in the 200 individual medley. Stephenson claimed first place in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:11.10 and the 100 with a time of 1:00.02. The women's medley relay - Elena Nikolaeva, Kelsey Marshall, Stephenson and Raeanne Spears - with a time of 1:59.83 earned a spot in nationals as well. Lindsey Wilson's Spears finished second in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 12:51.43 while Amber Lonaker finished in fourth with a time of 14:01.00. Sarah Wood (2:12.17) and Paige Lewis (2:13.44) finished first and second in the 200 freestyle. Nikolaeva finished the 100 backstroke in first place with a time of 1:06.42. Natalie Miller claimed the third spot with a time of 1:13.90. Blue Raiders Marshall (1:17.49) and Wood (1:26.14) placed first and fourth respectively in the 100 breaststroke. In the 50 freestyle Miller (28.46) placed second while Lonaker (32.36) finished in fourth place. Miller (1:02.98) and Spears (1:05.91) placed second and third in the 100 freestyle. Nikolaeva (2:25.24) finished in first place in the 200 backstroke while Lonaker (2:52.21) placed third. Marshall (2:44.06) and Spears (3:03.26) placed first and third in the 200 breaststroke. Wood (6:00.32) and Marshall (6:22.25) finished one, two in the 500 freestyle.
