Marie Pike Russell, 96, died at 9:52pmCT, Tuesday, October 2, 2013, in Nashville, TN.

The funeral service will be at 12pm noon CT/1pmET, Saturday, October 5, 2013 at the Green River Memorial Baptist Church, Old Columbia Road, Campbellsville by Rev. Don Gowin and Rev. Jamie Bennett. Green River Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 6pm-8pmCT/7pm-9pmET, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY.

Pallbearers: Clyde Akridge, Lee Akridge, Russell Colvin, David Cox, and Kenny Willis.

Marie Pike Russell was the daughter of the late Ulysses Alvin Pike and Clara Mae McQuese Pike. She was born July 28, 1917, in Taylor County, KY. She died Tuesday, October 2, 2013, in Nashville, Davidson County, KY, at the age of 96 years, 2 months, and 5 days.

She united in marriage to Leonard Russell, October 19, 1935. He preceded her in death April 4, 1986.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two daughters: Janice Russell Wilder and husband, James Andrew of Winter Park, FL; and Donna Russell Blewett and husband, Bill of Franklin, TN

  • Two grandchildren: David Andrew Wilder and wife, Julie of Florida; and Anne Campbell of Brentwood, TN

  • Two great-grandchildren: Anna Wilder and Ethan Wilder

  • One sister: Hazel Eggenberger of Rochester, MN

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends
She was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Max Russell January 31, 1998.
