William Allen Robertson, Center, KY (1940-2013)

He was a native of Metcalfe County, and a resident there at the time of his death. He was the son of the late William Reuben Robertson and the late Gladys Trowbridge Robertson. His wife of 55 years, Magaline Estes Robertson, survives. He leaves 24 direct living descendants spanning 4 generations. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a lifelong farmer.

Mr. William Allen Robertson, 73 of Center, KY departed this life on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at his home.

The funeral services for Mr. William Allen Robertson will be conducted at 1pmCT/2pmCT, Monday, September 30, 2013 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Kidd Cemetery. Bro. Billy Blaydes will be officiating. Visitation is requested from 4pmCT/5pmET-9pmCT/10pmET, Sunday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT/8pmET, Monday until time of the funeral service.

Mr. William Allen Robertson of Center, KY, son of the late William Reuben Robertson and Gladys Trowbridge Robertson, was born on Monday, January 8, 1940 in Metcalfe County, KY, and departed this life on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at his home. He was 73 years, 8t months, and 20 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a lifelong farmer.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Magaline Estes Robertson of Center, Kentucky having united in marriage on August 26, 1958, and the following:
  • Two sons and daughters-in-law: William Edward and Melissa Robertson of Edmonton, KY; and David Allen and Teresa Robertson of Center, KY

  • A sister and brother-in-law: Freda and Carlos Mays of Greensburg, KY

  • Eleven grandchildren

  • Seven great-grandchildren

  • Four great-great-grandchildren

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
Mr. Robertson was also preceded in death by a daughter, Charlotte Walker on January 29, 1991; two grandchildren. Charlotte Magaline Walker on July 29, 1988, James Joseph Walker on January 29, 1991; and a brother, James Randall Robertson.

Memorials are suggested to the Kidd Cemetery, which can be made at the funeral home.
