Good draw by Shelby Robertson

ADAIR staff member Shelby Robertson
during the draw for performance times in finals at the Nelson County High School Pageant of Bands, Saturday, September. She was giving a thumbs up because she just drew a great performance time. Shelby has been volunteering her time as a ADAIR staff member since her graduation in 2010. An example of a Champion supporting Champions. Another reason the ADAIR Tradition stays alive. To her right are ADAIR Band Director Tom Case and Assistant Band Director Jonathon Holmes who are the driving forces behind the Tradition of Excellence being a safe and secure. - Shamarie Claiborne, ADAIR Band.

Sophomore & Veteran Bailey Harris watches over youngsters

2013-09-30 - Nelson Co. High School, 1070 Bloomfield Road, Bardstown, KY - Photo by Shamarie Claiborne, ADAIR BAND photo. Anyone who has ever been around the kids say they seem like a big family. Well they are due to the fact that they spend so much time together. This little circle was just one of dozens during the down time between performances. Sophomore Bailey Harris a veteran marcher who started when she was an 8th grader is surrounded by first year kids. Bailey is a great leader and helps the others because she remembers all to well her own first year and is always willing to help in anyway she can even if it is entertaining them between shows. 7th grader Rachel Parrish is resting in her lap. Some of the others you can only see parts of are Dylan and Travis Hale, Nick Taylor, and Morgan Harvey who are all 7th and 8th graders.

The Fun PictureWe always try and do a serious picture with the awards from the evening and then a fun one. I wanted to share the fun one which I think shows just how excited and happy the kids and director are when their hard work and sacrifice is rewarded. Shown here are the 2013 Seniors with ADAIR Band Director Tom Case who is in the very front. Directly behind him are Best Overall Percussion, Best Overall Color Guard, Grand Champion, Best Overall Music, and Best Overall Visual Effect.
