Columbia Police Department investigating Tutt ST home intrusion

Incident occurred Tuesday evening in the 600 block of Tutt Street, in the limits of Columbia. Items were stolen, but there were no injuries. Police ask for anyone with information which may solve the case to call 270-384-4119

On Tuesday, September 24, 2013, at around 8:40pmCT, Columbia Police Department officers and Adair County deputy's responded to the 600 block of Tutt street to a call from a female stating someone was in her house.



Upon arrival it was found that just after the resident had gone to bed an unknown person or persons forced their way into the home and took a purse and other items from the house.

The purse was found in the yard, but a undisclosed amount of cash had been taken from it. The resident was unharmed.

Police are asking if anyone seen anybody walking or behaving in a suspicious manner in the area around 8pmCT, Tuesday night, September 24, 2013, to call Columbia Police Department at 270-384-4119 or your nearest Law Enforcement Agency. Officer Josh Brockman is continuing the investigation.
