Lindsey Wilson Men's Golf Wins Don Bishop Invitational

Lindsey Wilson's Medale finishes in first place with 2-under par

CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY - The Lindsey Wilson College men's golf team shot a 591 (297-294) to finish in first place at the Don Bishop Invitational in Campbellsville, KY.


Sophomore Franck Medale shot a 2-under par 142 (71-71) to help Lindsey Wilson to a 14-stroke win. Medale led the invitational after the first round and finished with 10 birdies in the tournament, including five in the final round.



Lindsey Wilson finished with four golfers in the top five.

Junior Nathan Hincks finished with a 5-over par 149 (76-73), including a 1-over par 73 in the final round to finish in second place. Hincks birdied the par-4 14th and the par-5 seventh.

Freshman Federico Navarro shot a final round 2-over par 74 to finish tied for third. Navarro birdied the par-5 first, seventh and 12th holes en route to his 6-over par 150 (76-74).

Sophomore Chris Butler finished with a 6-over par 150 (74-76) after shooting a 4-over par 76 in his final round of the invitational. Butler also finished with birdies on the first, seventh and 12th holes.

Hincks, Navarro, and Butler finished with seven birdies each over the two-day invitational.

Freshman Alex Durham finished with a 161 (86-75) playing as an individual. After shooting an 86 in the first round, Durham bounced back with a 3-over par 75 to finish tied for 29th place.

Sophomore Jake Wall finished in 33rd place with a 165 (85-80). - Charles Balcom
