Click on headline for story with photo(s) By Nancy Taylor News from the Adair County High School Golf Team The Adair county Girls Golf Team hosted both Clinton County and Russell County on Thursday, September 19, 2013, at the The Pines of Lindsey Wilson. The team shot a 189, which is 2 strokes under their best score just met on Tuesday of the same week. Hailey Taylor shot her best with a 40 and led the team; Rachel Phipps shot 48; Madison Bell 50; and Lauren McQuaide finished out the scoring with a 51. Although Adair County played very well, they were unable to come out ahead of either Clinton or Russell County girls. Each team has solid, experienced golfers with Clinton County shooting 178 by posting scores of 41, 44, 46, 47 and 49, and Russell County winning the day's event with a low score of 151. Russell County's Breanne Coe and Lesley Roy led all scores with 37 each, followed by fellow team members Hailey Aaron 38, Ryan Hoover, 39, Lizzie Loy 40, and Kenna Richardson 41. Coach's Comments: "I am very pleased with the girls last week. They are all working very hard, and it is showing. We are coming upon Regional Tournament at the beginning of October, and they are lowering their scores at the right time during the season," Coach Natalie Sneed said.
