Marion Co. man arrested in Vester, Adair Co., theft case

The Adair County Sheriff's Office has made an arrest in a recent theft case. Anthony Goff, 34 of Marion County was arrested Tuesday, September 24, 2013 on a warrant for receiving stolen property.

The warrant was issued after witnesses ID'd Goff at the former Curry's Grocery at the corner of Liberty Road and Vester Road. Goff sold items for scrap that were later identified by Mary Curry as property at Curry's grocery.

The arrest was made also after a 911 call came in from the Caldwell Ridge area of a vehicle matching the description of one used by Goff to haul scrap, a 1986 Nissan was said to have stolen property from a woman's yard.

Deputies Justin Cross and Adam Cravens made the arrest at the residence Goff was staying at in Adair County on Liberty Road.

Goff is still a person of interest in other recent cases ongoing. - Deputy Adam Cravens, Adair County Sheriffs Office
