LWC students raise awareness of lack of clean water in world 875 million go daily without access to clean water Click on headline for complete story with photo(s) By Duane Bonifer COLUMBIA, KY- Lindsey Wilson College students in "Global Energy Issues" class raised awareness Monday about the world's water problem. The students, who are also part of the LWC Green Learning Community, created the number "875" out of 875 used plastic water bottles on the Campus Quadrangle. The number represents the 875 million people around the world who go daily without access to clean water. The project was one of several the class created Monday in partnership with WaterStep of Louisville, KY-based agency dedicated to bringing safe, clean water to everyone around the world. The class is taught by Douglas Keaton, an energy technology instructor.
