Agrees with Jane Potts, Wayne Armitage: Moist or wet Comments re article 62103 Suggest being moist is how Campbellsville did it Lorne Holler writes: I agree with both Jane Potts, and Wayne Armitage. I hate to say it, but this county is dying no jobs and lots of taxes trying to keep the county running. If we go moist or wet then you have the taxes from this revenue to beautify this county as well to help defray the cost running both the city and county. The city as well as the county has different places which would attract tourist from the surrounding areas. Going moist or wet would also bring in more restaurants and more jobs. We have to start some where, Barbara and the Garden club can only do so much and they have done a great job on the square and elsewhere. This is only my take on part this matter. - Lorne HollerA note: The county and city derive no direct tax benefit from sales of alcoholic beverages within their boundaries. If anyone knows differently, let us know. There may be some incidental improvements in revenues if overall business improves, as many suggest. - EW This story was posted on 2013-09-22 14:28:15
