Letter asks: Why can't there be improvements made to our small little town?

By Diana Long writes:

Not only does everyone see an outdated town with empty buildings, run down alleys, etc., as soon they will see dead embankments coming from the county till they enter town.

I want to know where all the tax dollars go towards if they can't maintain the roads in the county? Why can't there be improvements made to our small little town?

Campbellsville and Green County have neat well cared for little towns. Seems Columbia cannot get anything going - even our festivals have gone down hill. There needs to be a change somewhere or Columbia is going nowhere. Just my opinion and everyone has one. Some will speak up and some wont.

Come on people, let's make this town something to be proud of! - Diana Long
