CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY - The Lindsey Wilson men's soccer team escaped Campbellsville with a 1-0 win over the Tigers Thursday night at Ron Finley Stadium.

No. 4 Lindsey Wilson improves to 4-1-1 on the season and opens Mid-South Conference play with a win.

Campbellsville (7-1) suffers its first loss of the season and falls to 1-1 in Mid-South play.

Jordan Hall scored the only goal of the match in the 22nd minute. Aleksi Pahkasalo took a shot off a Blue Raider corner kick that was blocked by Campbellsville goalkeeper Max Malachiyev. The ball bounced in the air and Hall was able to push the ball just over the goal line on a header before the Campbellsville defense could clear it.

Pahkasalo led the Blue Raiders with four shots, including three shots on goal. Lwandiso Gonya and Elijah Ukpong contributed three shots each.

Malachiyev did everything he could to keep Campbellsville in the game making 10 saves, but the Tigers failed to produce a goal on the offensive side of the ball.

Lindsey Wilson goalkeeper Yuta Nomura made two saves en route to the shutout win.

The Blue Raiders had 22 shots compared to just four shots for the Tigers.
