Campbellsville: Mayor Young has more progress set to happen

Campbellsville's Action Mayor updates community in radio interview about progress underway all over town

By Larry Smith, FM 99.9 the Big Dawg

Campbellsville Mayor Tony Young was on the air with me yesterday and announced even more improvements for Campbellsville.

Next to get a Main Street makeover will be West Main Street, which will address the fence around Brookside Cemetery, one of the most beautiful, already, anywhere.

Everyone interested in healthy living and pedestrian safety is thrilled with the relatively low cost changes Mayor Young made on Main Street in the shopping area. Mayor Young announced an even more ambitious sidewalk project, with a sidewalk system all the way from Main Street to Miller Park. A new segment, from Howell Street on N. Central Avenue will extend north to the Park.

In August, Mayor Miller told of changes coming at the former Taylor County Library, which will be made into a Civic Center, and will include a Council Meeting Room.

Campbellsville was a wonderful city before Mayor Young put improvements in high gear. Now it is the talk of Kentucky. - Larry Smith
