No. 1 Lindsey Wilson improves to 6-1-0 on the season and opens Mid-South Conference play with a win. With the loss, Campbellsville falls to 3-3-1 on the season and 0-1 in MSC play. Ayaki Shinada scored the first goal of the match in the 33rd minute when Campbellsville turned the ball over in the box on a clearance attempt. Campbellsville evened the match in the 48th minute when a corner kick by Bailey McDonough made its way straight to Jessica Ralph, who slipped it past Blue Raider goalkeeper Lina Jepsen. The Blue Raiders answered in a big way just five minutes later. Renee Hurd took the ball down the left flank past the Tiger defenders and beat the keeper to give Lindsey Wilson a 2-1 lead. Less than a minute later Shinada fed Emilia Jonsson the ball inside the box and Jonsson sneaked it past Brandie Hagerman for the third goal on the night for the Blue Raiders. In the 66th minute, Natasha Gensetter found her herself at the penalty spot after being taken down inside the box by a Campbellsville defender. Gensetter slipped the ball past the hands of a diving Hagerman to push the lead to 4-1. The final goal of the night came in the 84th minute as Jamie Stanton passed to Bettina Bruelhart just outside the box and Bruelhart finished with a laser into the upper left side of the net. The Blue Raiders outshot the Tigers on the night 22-11, and also held the advantage in corner kicks, 10-6.
