Elizabethtown, KY, man killed in single vehicle accident

ELIZABETHTOWN, KY - On Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at approximately 12:53pmET, Kentucky State Police Post 04 received a call in regard to an injury crash in the 4300 block of Shepherdsville Road, just north of Ring Road.

Edgar D. Willis (70), of Elizabethtown was operating his 2002 Honda Odyssey minivan southbound on Shepherdsville Road, when for unknown reasons he exited the west side of the roadway.

The vehicle then overturned ejecting the unrestrained operator from the vehicle. Mr. Willis was pronounced dead at the scene by Hardin County Coroner Dr. William Lee. KSP was assisted on the scene by Hardin County EMS., the Elizabethtown Fire Department and The Hardin County Coroner's office. - Tpr. Jeff Gregory
