Adair Boys Golf team defeats Taylor County by 27 strokes

Austin Cundiff wins individual honors

By Coach Chris Lewis

Adair County Indians hosted the Heartland Conference. The Indians were led by two juniors (Riley Grant and Austin Cundiff) who both shot 74. Riley and Austin tied for the lowest scores of the tournament. They went into a playoff starting on hole #1. Austin won his first golf tourament after three holes of play. Riley got second overall. Blake Maupin and Tanner Garmon both tied for 4th place with score of 80 a piece. Austin, Riley, Blake and Tanner all got All Tournament Team honors.. This is the first time that we have had 4 out of 5 be on the All Tournament team. The Indians shot a team total of 308 to win by 27 strokes over 2nd place Taylor County. I'm super happy for my team. They have worked extremely hard all season and it's now paying off. We are going to continue to work hard to make it back to state at the end of the month. - Coach Chris Lewis
