Judy Keltner, LCADD, will speak at Adair Heritage meeting

September is a big meeting: Besides the foundation information, AHA members will hear and discuss the Main Street Project, the Prim Fair, and AHA roles in Downtown Days and Treats on the town

Judy Keltner will be the guest speaker at the Adair Heritage Association meeting, at 6pmCT, Thursday, September 12, 2013 at the Adair County Public Library, 307 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY. Her topic is Lake Area Foundation, started by Lake Cumberland Area Development District. The historic courthouse already has a fund started in the Lake Area Foundation.



There's also have an update on the Main Street Project through the Mayor's Office and Marsha Reddick will be updating us about the upcoming Second Annual Primitive Fair that is happening the first Saturday in November. Down Town Days in October and Treats on the Town are other topics to be discussed. At the meeting, there will be an update on the preservation enhancements going on in the courthouse and find out what we purchased at Ms. Alta Garnett's silent auction for our courthouse museum.

You're invited to go by Durham and Zornes law office and view Jane Grant's creation for the Chamber Picnic auction on behalf of the Adair Heritage Association.

It's September already and time for our annual meeting that includes paying dues. We now have a lifetime membership in addition to our yearly individual and family memberships. Lifetime - $250; Individual - $25 per year; Family - $30 per year. - Ellen Zornes
