Lindsey Wilson Wrestling Releases 2013-14 Schedule Click on headline for complete story By Jay Nicols COLUMBIA, KY - The Blue Raiders wrestling team enters the 2013-14 season with a lot of momentum after they finished fifth in the final Postseason NAIA Coaches' Top-20 poll last season. Lindsey Wilson College head wrestling coach Corey Ruff is looking forward to this season and announced the upcoming schedule on Tuesday, September 10, 2013. Lindsey Wilson diverts from its traditional Blue and White dual meet to start the season and instead heads to Williamsburg, KY to participate in the Patriot Open on November 2. The Blue Raiders will head to East Lansing, MI on November 9 to take part in the Michigan State Open. On November 23-24 the team will travel to Raleigh, NC, to participate in three duals hosted by North Carolina State University. On Saturday, November 23, the team will face NCAA Division I teams North Carolina State and Gardner-Webb University. On Sunday, November 24 the team will face NCAA Division II Limestone College in its third dual in two days. In December, the team continues its road warrior mentality as it will travel to Newberry, S.C., Ada, Ohio, and Indianapolis, IN in a two week span. In Newberry, the team will face Newberry College and Belmont Abbey College on December 1. On December 7, they will participate in the Ohio Northern University Open in Ada. On December 14 they will head out to the Midwest Classic in Indianapolis for a two day meet. The New Year brings the team home for the first time all season as they host St. Andrews College (NC) on January 4 at the Holloway Wellness Center located on the Lindsey Wilson Campus. On January 11-12, 2014 the team travels to Des Moines, Iowa for the National Wrestling Coaches Association National Duals. Lindsey Wilson will have two more Opens on January 18 at Cumberland (TN) University and on January 25, 2014 in Boone, NC for the Appalachian State Open before they start conference duals. Mid-South Conference competition starts January 28 at home against Campbellsville (KY) in Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard Drive, Columbia, KY. Campbellsville was ranked No. 6 in the final poll last season. On January 31 the team welcomes the University of the Cumberlands (KY) to Lindsey Wilson College. Rounding out MSC competition, Cumberland (TN) will make the trip up to Columbia, KY. on February 4 at the Holloway Wellness Center. Cumberland finished last season ranked No. 14. The Blue Raiders will face Indiana Tech and Life University on February 7 before heading to Marietta, GA for the NAIA East Qualifier on February 22, 2014. The NAIA National Championship will be on March 7-8, 2014 in Topeka, KS. Lindsey Wilson College Wrestling opens its season at the University of the Cumberlands (Williamsburg, KY) 9amCT/10amET, Saturday, November 2, 2013 O.
