Reuling Stadium: 247 By Jay R. Nicols COLUMBIA, KY - No. 3 ranked Lindsey Wilson men's soccer team hosted Tennessee Wesleyan at Walter S. Reuling Stadium on Saturday night, September 7, 2013 and came away with a 3-0 victory. The Blue Raiders (2-1-1) were held scoreless for 79 minutes, but broke the tie on a cross from Elijah Ukpong to Keletso Mosime who tapped it in for a 1-0 lead. Bastien Montagnon had a chance to score in the 27th minute, however the shot went high. Less than a minute later, Albert Edward's shot went wide of the net. Blue Raider goalkeeper Christoffer Gatara went to make a sliding save at the top of the 18 yard box and collided with Travis Langhorne. Langhorne received a red card for the hard slide on Gatara which left Gatara with a gash on his forehead. Yuta Nomura replaced Gatara in net as Gatara was taken immediately off the field by the training staff. Renan Sarafim got a pass from Yazeed Davids inside the 18 yard box and nailed it into the back of the net for a 2-0 lead in the 86th minute. Less than two minutes later the Blue Raiders struck again on an unassisted goal by Xavier Baumgart to make it 3-0. Lindsey Wilson held the advantage in corner kicks 12-0 and finished with six shots on goal. Gatara made one save. Tennessee Wesleyan (1-3-0) finished with just one shot on goal.
