LWC Cross Country (Women) open 2013 season at Queen City

MASON, OH - The Lindsey Wilson women's cross country team began its 2013 season Friday, September 6, 2013 at the 32nd annual Queen City Invitational hosted by Xavier (Ohio) University.

The Blue Raiders finished in 14th place with 422 team points in the mixed field of NAIA and NCAA schools. Host Xavier won the event with 27 team points.



Maria Cozzens led the Blue Raiders with a 64th place finish after crossing the line in 20 minutes and 41 seconds. Reini Brickson was the second Lindsey Wilson harrier to finish as she posted a time of 21:48, good enough for 78th place.

Xavier's Abby Fischer won the 148-woman race by breaking the tape in 17:32.
