The Farmer's Market at the Adair Extension Office, 409 Fairground Street, Columbia, KY is open this Friday morning, September 6, 2012, from 6am-10amCT.

  1. Margie Rooks, Sano, KY - Watermelons. Pumpkins, both decorative and cooking types. Red Tomatoes. Yellow Tomatoes. Small Potatoes. Bell Peppers. Hot Banana Peppers. Eggplant
  2. Holly Kerns, Sano, KY - Pumpkins. Green Beans (some by the bushel). Red Tomatoes. Green Tomatoes for frying, pickling. Yellow Squash. Potatoes. Mixed Greens.
  3. Prof. Jeff Scott of Scott's Orchards, Antioch - Boy have we got apples. Galas. Melrose. (The State Apple of Ohio. That will be on today's Quiz.) Enterprise, a tart good cooking apple. and Yellow Delicious. You've got to cook some Melrose apples. Henrietta cooked some last night and it made a fat boy grin from ear to ear. They are good. (and the State Apple of Ohio)
