Peggy Lynn Hardwick Burton age 55 years of Columbia, Ky. passed away Monday, September 2, 2013 at 1:11amET, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at 10amCT/11amET, at Purdy Separate Baptist Church, 8004 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY with Bro. Jamie Bryant and Bro. Jr. Holmes the officiating clergy. Interment in Bearwallow Cemetery, 6090 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation after 5pmCT/6pmET, Tuesday, September 3, 2013, and after 6amCT/7amET-8:30amCT/9:30amET, Wednesday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, and after 9amCT/10amET, Wednesday at the church until time for funeral service.

She was born on March 19, 1958 in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Ervin G. & Thera Burton Hardwick. She died Monday, September 2, 2013, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 58 years, 5 months, and 14 days.

She is is survived by the following:
  • One son: Ken (Jennifer) Burton of Russell Springs, KY

  • Two sisters: Charlotte (Charles) Collins of Russell Springs, KY; and Bernadine (Phillip) Robertson of Greensburg, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Chezney Olivia Burton & Keely Belle Burton

  • Several nieces, nephews & a host of other relatives and friends
She was a member of Purdy Separate Baptist Church and was admissions clerk at Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to Bearwallow Cemetery & may be left at the funeral home.
