Reuling Stadium on the campus of Lindsey Wilson College By Jay Nicols News from Lindsey Wilson Men's Soccer MONTGOMERY, AL - The Lindsey Wilson men's soccer team won 3-0 against Auburn-Montgomery (Auburn, AL) Saturday night at the Capital City Classic. The game was the second in two days for the Blue Raiders (1-1-1), who tied No. 1 Belhaven (Jackson, MI) 1-1 on Friday. The host Warhawks put the pressure on early with several corner kicks, but came away empty as multiple shots went wide of the net. Lwandiso Gonya opened up the scoring for the No. 3 Blue Raiders in the 53rd minute for what would be the deciding goal. Billal Qsiyer put Lindsey Wilson up 2-0 in the 75th minute, assisted by Yazeed Davids. Davids would get a goal of his own in the 81st minute. Lindsey Wilson goalkeeper Yuta Nomura held the Warhawks (1-3) scoreless, saving three shots on goal. The Blue Raiders outshot Auburn-Montgomery 17-5 and led the Warhawks in corner kicks, 7-3.
