Burial is at Bowmer Cemetery. Visitation is 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, Friday, August 30, 2013, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.

She was born Wednesday, January 23, 1963 in Casey County, KY. She was the daughter of Shinie and Geneva Passmore Luttrell. She died Tuesday, August 27, 2013, in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, at the age of 50 years, 7 months, and 4 days.

Barbara was a homemaker and member of the New Life Tabernacle.

Survivors include the following:
  • Her husband: James Burton, whom she married September 10, 1982

  • Her parents: Shinie and Geneva Luttrell of Liberty, KY

  • Four sons: Josh Burton of Liberty, KY; Jason and (Talaria) Burton of Georgia; Jordan and (Mechille) Burton of Liberty, KY; and Jacob and (Erin) Burton of Liberty, KY

  • Daughter: Bethany Burton of Liberty, KY

  • Four grandchildren

  • Four brothers, Leslie and (Gloria) Luttrell, Lester Luttrell, Gary and (Debbie) Luttrell and Billy Luttrell all of Liberty, KY

  • Two sisters: Carolyn Hardwick and Genleena Luttrell, both of Liberty, KY
