Dual Credit has been around awhile - but getting new emphasis Dual credit has been offered for a long time at Adair County High School, but it's getting added emphasis with the efforts to trim the cost of higher education and with the push to get the Columbia/Adair County certified as a Work Ready Community. In fact, at least one student entered college with 50 hours - well into the student's sophomore year - and several have had 30 hours or more, almost a full year of college work, on graduation from Adair County High School, we've found out after inquiries of the school's guidance counselor, Ann Young. Ms. Young has suggested posting a list of the Dual Credits now being offered, and we'll post that as soon as we can on receipt. - EW This story was posted on 2013-08-29 10:34:38
