Mrs. Ava Nell Cecil, 85, of West Liberty, KY, departed this life on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg, KY.

There will be graveside services held at 1pmCT/2pmET, Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at the Greensburg Cemetery, North Main Street, Greensburg, KY. Bro. Dale Curry will be officiating. Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, is in charge of the funeral arrangements.

Ava Nell Cecil, Green County, KY (1927-2013)

Mrs. Ava Nell Cecil was the daughter of the late Ulysses R. Nickell and Eva Craft Nickell. She was born on November 28, 1927 in Malone, Morgan County, KY,, and departed this life on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 in Greensburg, Green County, KY. She was 85 years, 8 months, and 30 days of age.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, James Whitney Cecil having united in marriage on January 2, 1949.

Other survivors include the following:
  • A daughter and son-in-law: Theresa and Dr. Garth Bobrowski of Greensburg, KY

  • Two grandsons: Dr. Whitney Bobrowski and his wife Karly, and Dr. Nicholas Bobrowski of Greensburg, KY, and his fiance' Dr. Santana Francis of West Liberty, KY

  • A brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Cecil Jr. of Mize, Kentucky
  • And a host of other relatives and friends.
