Homeplace Festival offers photo workshop

A photo workshop led by Lindsey Wilson Professor David Goguen will be featured at the September 7 Homeplace on Green River Fall Heritage Festival. There will be two similar sessions, one 9am-11amCT/10am-12pmET and a second at 12pm noonCT/1pmET-2pmCT/3pmET. There is no charge to attend the workshop.



Goguen is an experienced photography teacher and this will be his second year conducting a photo workshop at the festival. The classes informal and are tailored to both beginners and intermediate photographers. They include "classroom" time as well as time taking photos at Homeplace and critical review of those photos. Those attending should bring a digital camera. Complex single lens reflex cameras are not necessary; any digital camera will do. Those attending last year gave the workshop high marks.

Reservations are encouraged and can be made by e-mailing Professor Goguen at goguend@lindsey.edu or calling him at 270-384-8241. The Homeplace fall festival includes many family activities including art and handicraft sales and exhibitions, hay, mule wagon and pony rides, a barrel train, hiking and a variety of food from local vendors. There will be live music throughout the day. The annual Fall Heritage Festival at Homeplace on Green River, 5807 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, KY, will be 8am-4pmCT/9am-5pmET Saturday, September 7, 2013. Admission is free. There is a $1 charge for some of the rides and a guided trail walk and a nominal charge for the food.
