Man found dead of gunshot wounds near Tompkinsville, KY

Kentucky State Police locate and arrest Tompkinsville, KY suspect in Cookeville, TN, charging him with murder

TOMPKINSVILLE, KY - On Thursday, August 23, 2013, at approximately 8:43amCT, Kentucky State Police at Post 15, Columbia, KY, received a call from the Monroe County Sheriff that a deceased man had been found inside his residence on Galilee Road, 10 miles west of Tompkinsville, KY.

On arrival, police found that the victim, Terry Alexander, 33, Bowling Green, KY, had been shot several times. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Monroe County Coroner.



Following an investigation, Demarcus Hamilton, 32, Tompkinsville, KY was located and arrested in Cookeville, TN, and charged with murder.

Further investigation is continuing by Detective Brooks of KSP Post 15, Columbia, KY.

Also taking part at the scene were the Monroe County Sheriff's Department and Monroe County Coroner's Office. - Information courtesy Trooper Clint Walker
