Passengers taken to WRH after vehicle strikes deer Accident occurs early Sunday morning. Adair County Sheriff's Office, Breeding Fire Department respond. By Deputy Adam Cravens Adair County Sheriff's Office The Adair Sheriff's Office responded to a single vehicle collision early Sunday morning, August 18, 2013, on South 61 around Harrod's Fork Circle. Larry Harkness, 48, of Danville, KY, was operating his 1998 Ford Van when a deer ran in front of him and he struck it head-on. Harkness was transported to Westlake for possible injuries sustained. Two passengers Beverly Atcher of Junction City and Christopher Rhoden of Danville were also in the vehicle but were not hurt. The Breeding Fire Department also responded to the scene.
