KSP arrests alleged shoplifter after vehicle, foot pursuit Munfordville woman now faces multiple charges after 37 mile chases through LaRue and into Hart County, with units of KSP, Elizabethtown Police Department participated By Jeffrey H. Gregory, Public Affairs Officer Kentucky State Police Post 4, Elizabethtown, KY ELIZABETHTOWN, KY - On Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at approximately 4:40pmET, Kentucky State Police Post 04 received a call from the Elizabethtown Police Department. dispatch requesting assistance in regards to a motorist that they were pursuing on shoplifting charges. KSP Post 4 units picked up the pursuit with EPD units on the Western Kentucky Parkway, 5 miles west of Elizabethtown. The suspect, Jamie N. Daugherty (29) from Munfordville, KY, was operating a blue 1999 Chevrolet Suburban and failed to stop for all police units. The Pursuit lasted 37 miles from Elizabethtown through Larue Co. on 31-W and into Hart Co. where she abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. Trooper Steve Oughton caught the suspect on foot and placed her under arrest and took her into custody. She was then transported to Hardin Co. Detention center and charged with Fleeing/Evading Police 1st degree (Motor Vehicle), Fleeing/Evading Police 1st (foot), Reckless Driving, Wanton Endangerment 1st, Speeding, Failure to Yield For Traffic Control Device, Improper Passing, Resisting Arrest, Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession Of A Controlled Substance 1st. KSP Post 4 was assisted at the scene by KSP Post 3 and the Hart Co. Sheriff's Office. This story was posted on 2013-08-15 13:06:05
