Jailer Rick Wilson says he doesn't plan to seek re-election Adair County Regional Jailer Rick Wilson, one of the most popular public officials ever in Adair County, said last night after the August 13, 2013 regular meeting of Adair Fiscal Court, that 37 years in public service is long enough, that he plans to retire after this term. Under his guidance, the jail has shown marked improvements. Whether or not he can be convinced to continue in some capacity wasn't discussed. But it was another reminder that the 2014 elections are fast approaching. And raises speculation about who might be Mr. Wilson's successor, should the decision stand. - Ed Waggener This story was posted on 2013-08-14 06:01:18
