The Farmer's Market on the Square, open 8am-12pm noon CT, Saturday, August 10, 2013, at the Adair Annex Parking Lot, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY
OPEN AT 8amCT. If you come early, we hope you'll visit the wonderful downtown restaurants, have coffee and breakfast, then be ready to be the first at 8pmCT. Downtown is a great place for morning coffee and visits. Almost every weekend someone tells us the market is worth because they just met a friend they hadn't seen in years. Special Guests at the Market this week:

Michael and Rita Regan will be singing Gospel music 10:30am-11:30amCT. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy this free concert.

Monica Thomas of Sinderella Sisters will offer a FREE Craft Class for Kids: Have fun, recycle and look great when you learn to make this great Pop Top Bracelet. Classes are at 10amCT and at 11amCT, all supplies are included. Open to children 8 years old and older, must be accompanied by an adult.

has this miniature of the residence just off the Square on Greensburg Street, behind him, for sale this morning at the Farmers Market on the Square. I believe he said it was under $50 - maybe $40. He also accepts commissions for custom replicas, but expect a higher price on those. Clicking ReadMore accesses the list of vendors and entertainers and classes for today.

Jay Cox has been demonstrating his considerable culinary skills the past three Saturdays, and now counts a number of regulars among his clientele. His specialties are grilled country ham, shoulder, and tenderloin. His style is influenced by John Johnson, his mentor, mostly, and the renowned BBQ master Norman Hamilton of Burkesville, as well as Robert Flowers. The aroma puts people in a food buying frame of mind each Saturday morning, during FM2, 8am-12pmCT.
