Garbage truck on fire on the Natcher Parkway NB near MP 10

By Gredg Meredith
News from Kentucky Transportation Cabinet

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (1:54pmCT, Aug. 8, 2013) - A garbage truck is on fire on the right shoulder of the Natcher Parkway Northbound near MP 10. Both Northbound lanes are currently closed while the Southbound lanes remain open. Crews are heading to the scene to assess at this point. It is possible that a detour for Northbound traffic will be established that utilizes US 231 from Bowling Green to Morgantown, depending upon closure duration.

Motorists are encouraged to choose other routes for Northbound travel on the Natcher Parkway and updates will be provided as to closure status of this roadway. - Greg Meredith
