Scenario in Sycamore surmisable situation if cow is small sort Comments re article 61151 MIKE WATSON What a Tree By Billy Joe Fudge, Retired District Forester Kentucky Division of Forestry I cannot attest to the particulars of the stories but the possibility of these occurrences due to the size could have been very possible. I've seen hollow sycamores on tributaries to Green River that would have been of sufficient size to allow for the cow scenario. It could have been possible particularly if it would have been a cow of smaller stature, such as a Jersey. Our forefathers had an affinity for Jerseys because they were small, docile, consumed less feed and had a high butterfat content which was desirable to our forefathers.- Billy Joe Fudge- This story was posted on 2013-08-08 08:33:23
