CAIP By Teresa Bright Applications for the 2013 Adair County CAIP program will be available August 19-30, 2013 at the Adair County Extension Office, 409 Fairground Street, Columbia, KY, during regular business hours 8am-4:30pmCT. The Kentucky Agricultural Development Board recently approved $203,000 in Agricultural Development Funds for the 2013 Adair County CAIP program (County Agricultural Investment Program) to be administered by the Adair County Cattlemen's Association. This program is a 50% cost-share program with a maximum funding of $1,500 per farm operation. CAIP is designed to provide farmers with incentives to allow them to improve and diversify their current production practices.
