Advocate is impatient with progress of Sister City situation

Comments re article 29118 LWC students to offer 7 potential Sister Cities for Columbia KY

Charles Marshburn writes:
I am usually very patient, but it has been over three years since I asked about Columbia's sister city situation. Seems it is another "don't ask, don't tell." Seems the chamber of commerce is on the dole according to a spokesperson at the COC by public library inquiry and this is not at the top of their list of accomplishments. - Charles Marshburn
Thanks. Charles Marshburn - But maybe you ought to come up with a list, yourself. Here's some of mine.

Edinburgh, Indiana. Santiago, Chile for the culinary parity. Dibley, England, if there really is ary 'un. Obviously, other three capitals of the other 3 Adair Counties: Stillwell, Oklahoma, Greenfield Iowa, and Kirksville, MO. (Would like to see a Billy Joe Fudge Tour Coach held missions each year to those places.) Cambridge, England, which also reveres education. And Waco, TX, which operates at about the same speed of Columbia and, like Columbia, KY, is a Righteous Town, know just as well as 'The Jerusalem on the Brazos." And maybe St. Louis, Missouri, also an important riverport and has important ties to Mark Twain, but not so elemental ones as we; and Indianapolis, Indiana - like Columbia, an American Crossroads town, and, like Columbia, holds an important place in automobile sports: They in racing. We in tailgating - and deadly municipal speeding. And maybe a few others.
