Nancy Fouser remembers quite a ride to be 1st, ring the LW bell

The Blue Raiders defeated Sue Bennett, and her party sped back to Columbia in black 1961 Ford to be the first to ring the bell to celebrate the victory. That was in 1961.

Nancy Moran Fouser writes:
I remember the bell from when I was a student at Lindsey Wilson Training School. Also, I remember when I was a student at LWC in 1961 we played Sue Bennett College in Somerset. Chuck and I rode to the game with his room mate, Gary Mitchell. We rushed back to Columbia to ring the bell. It was quite a ride back, but we made it! Gary's 1950 black Ford got back first. - Nancy Moran Fouser
