Eric Wyrick named Head Golf Coach at Lindsey Wilson

Was head golf coach at Union College for six years. Replaces Shaun Cozart, who resigned earlier this summer

News from Lindsey Wilson College

COLUMBIA, KY - Eric Wyrick has been named head golf coach at Lindsey Wilson College, athletic director Willis Pooler announced on Monday, July 29, 2013.

Wyrick takes over the Blue Raider men's and women's golf programs after six years in the same position at Union (Barbourville, KY).

Pooler said that Wyrick has the great understanding to lead the two nationally prominent programs.

Wyrick led the Union men's and women's golf programs to a combined 15 tournament wins, including each program winning an Appalachian Athletic Conference championship. He led the Bulldog men to the program's only NAIA National Championship appearance in 2009.

Wyrick has produced 22 all-conference performers while at Union and 31 all-tournament team members. He was selected by his peers as the 2009 AAC Men's Golf Coach of the Year and the 2010 AAC Women's Golf Coach of the Year.

Prior to becoming Union coach, Wyrick earned all-conference honors all four seasons for the Bulldogs -- the only Union men's golfer to earn that distinction.

Wyrick replaces Shaun Cozart who resigned earlier this summer.

The Lindsey Wilson College men's golf team is scheduled to open its fall season on Sunday, September 1, 2013, as the Blue Raiders face Campbellsville (Campbellsville, KY) in the annual President's Cup matches at Old Bridge Golf Course, 1 Old Bridge Road, Danville, KY.

The Blue Raider women begin their season on Monday-Tuesday, September 9-10, 2013, at the Bill Sergent Invitational at Crooked Creek Golf Club, 781 Crooked Creek Drive, London, KY.
