Walta Mae Pierce Miller, 68, of Louisville, KY departed this life on July 28, 2013 in Louisville, KY.

The funeral services for Walta Mae Pierce Miller will be conducted at 12pmCT/1pmET, Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY with burial to follow in the Corby-Pierce Cemetery. Bro. Mike Perkins will be officiating. Visitation is requested 3pm-9pmCT/4pm-10pmCT, Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT/8amET, Wednesday until time of the funeral service.

Walta Mae Pierce Miller was the daughter of the late Corby Pierce and Bertha VanArsdale Pierce. She was born on February 19, 1945 in Green County, KY, and departed this life on July 28, 2013 in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY. She was 68 years, 5 months, and 9 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ at an early age and was a member of the Blue Creek Baptist Church in Lenoir, North Carolina. She was also a retired Desktop Operator for Publisher Printing Company.

Survivors include the following:
  • A son: Rodney Conover of Elizabethtown, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Patrick Conover of Elizabethtown, KY; Kayla Conover of Louisville, KY; and Josh McMackin of Elizabethtown, KY

  • A great-grandson: Lucus Natividad of Louisville, KY

  • Two brothers and a sister-in-law: Dillard and Kathy Pierce, and Lillard Pierce all of Indiana

  • Two sisters and brothers-in-law: Margaret and Albert Duval of Hodgenville, KY; and Virginia and Donald Herald of Louisville, KY

  • And a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
Ms. Miller was also preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers: Cozetta Snow, Gladys Rooks, Ruby Rogers, Pansy Pierce, Castle Pierce, Buford Pierce, and Howard Pierce.

The Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, in charge of arrangements.
