RRW: A time for everything: A time to fix. A time to tear down BUILDING CODES: 'No. I don't like to see unsightly property in Columbia, but i don't like to see too much power in the hands of too few people, either. - RALPH WAGGENER Click on headline for complete commentary By Ralph Waggener Personal Commentary by the Editor & Publisher of It's Just for a Smile News There comes a time for tear down rather than fix and this old house has become somewhat dangerous. The problem with Zoning Laws is that they become what a few want and end up being a bigger problem than help. What was done to Roger D Smith and his partner was one of the most shameful deeds ever done in my Columbia. Just because you don't like someone is no reason to do such deeds. I would rather see the zone laws outlawed than to have this kind of crap! Please don't forget that a property owner should have the right to use their property how they chose. No. I don't like to see unsightly property in Columbia, but i don't like to see too much power in the hands of too few people, either. Thanks. -Ralph out of order Waggener This story was posted on 2013-07-22 22:02:52
