Nancy Lou Hord Sandidge, Campbellsville, KY (1930-2013)

She was a native of Taylor County, KY, and a resident of Boyle County, KY at the time of her death. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Bethel First Presbyterian Church in Campbellsville. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper for Taylor County Schools. She enjoyed traveling with her girlfriends over the years, spending time with her family and working crossword puzzles. She was the wife of sixty-two years to Dwight Phillips Sandidge, who survives. She leaves 11 direct living descendants

Nancy Lou Hord Sandidge, 83, of Danville, formerly of Campbellsville, KY, died Friday, July 19, 2013 in Danville, KY

Funeral services will be at 10amCT/11amET, Monday, July 22, 2013 at Bethel First Presbyterian Church, 502 E Main Street, Campbellsville by Rev. Jim Murphy and Rev. Rollin Tarter. Visitation will be 3pm-6pmCT/4pm-7pmET, Sunday, Preston Pruitt Funeral Home, 331 S 4th Street, Danville, KY and 8am-10amCT/9am-11amET, Monday, Bethel First Presbyterian Church, Campbellsville. Burial will be in Bethel First Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Campbellsville, KY.



Pallbearers: Joel Harris, Paul Johnson, Dr. Frank Metzmeier, Nolan Robinson, Mike Thomas, and John Waldrop.


Nancy Lou Hord Sandidge, Taylor Co., KY (1930-2013)


Nancy Lou Hord Sandidge, was the daughter of the late Ben Hord and Birdie Phillips Hord. She was born Saturday, February 5, 1930 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died Friday, July 19, 2013 in Danville, Boyle County, KY, at the age of 83 years, 5 months, and 14 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Bethel First Presbyterian Church in Campbellsville.

She worked for many years as a bookkeeper for Taylor County Schools.

She enjoyed traveling with her girlfriends over the years, spending time with her family and working crossword puzzles.

She was the wife of sixty-two years to Dwight Phillips Sandidge.

Besides her husband, Dwight Sandidge of Danville, she is survived by the following:
  • One son and one daughter: Ben Sandidge and wife Suzanne of Danville, KY; and Beth Levinson and husband, Sammy of Bowling Green, KY

  • Six grandchildren: Jess Sandidge, Brook Hollis, Samantha Sandidge, MacKenzie Sandidge, Meggan Graham and Erin Faulkner

  • Three great-grandchildren, Keaton Hollis, Lola Hollis and Reid Graham

  • Three sisters: Eddie Garvin of Florida, Betty Pike of Campbellsville, KY; and Annie Laurie Cox of Greensburg, KY

  • A sister-in-law, Clara Nelle Hord of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • And many other relatives and friends
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Richard Hord.
