Summersville Fun Day: Forcht Bank Ice Cream Truck

2013-07-20 - Summersville, KY - Photo by Larry Smith, The Big Dawg. Jay Shofner, Forcht Bank Manager in Summersville, KY was one of the most popular men in town today. He was in charge of giving out free chocolate and vanilla ice cream from the cool Forcht Bank Ice Cream Truck during the Summersville Fire Departments big Summer Fun Day, Saturday, July 20, 2013. It was fun for the little kid in me. It's been a wonderful July Day in my home town. My guess is that over 2,000 people have been here to take part in the festivities. - Larry Smith, Operations Manager, Shoreline Communications/i>

Farmall Cub at Summersville Fun Day: Sweet

2013-07-20 - Summersville, KY - Photo by Larry Smith, The Big Dawg. Couldn't help but notice how sweet this little pink Farmall Cub tractor, "Miss Tia," set to be in the big Summersville Fun Day parade today, was. - Larry Smith, Operations Manager, Shoreline Communications

Summersville Fun Day July 20, 2013: Here for the parade

2013-07-21 - Summersville, KY - Photo by Larry Smith, The Big Dawg. This classy 1955 year old Chevy 210 Coupe was here for the Summersville Fun Day parade. It was a great day in my hometown. Lots of memories, but there's something special about Summersville - it's one small town which keeps growing and changing. My old grammy, right, in the photo, is no longer a school, it's now the Green County Recycling Center. But Summersville people support our local businesses like the Lewis' General Store and new stores - even our own Dollar General; we still have great, growing churches, there's still a bank here, and you won't find a more patriotic community anywhere. - Larry Smith, Operations Manager, Shoreline Communications

Summersville Fun Day 2013: Flag & Green-Taylor Water Tower

2013-07-21 - Summersville, KY - Photo by Larry Smith, The Big Dawg. This is the same flag as in the picture of the '55 Chevy, but taken from a different angle, showing, also, the Green/Taylor Water Tower. Larry Smith, Operations Manager, Shoreline Communications
