4-H Land Judging gets instruction from Mr. Sammy Baker Click on headline for story with photo(s) By Katie Royse News from Adair Extension Service 4-H Land Judging practice is underway!!! We have a wonderful group of youngsters who are excited to learn how and why we judge the land and soil. More specifically we are focusing on the impact and importance of land judging as it relates to agriculture. Today, July 16, 2013, we held our fourth meeting at the Adair County Cooperative Extension Service where our guest speaker was none other than the famous Mr. Sammy Baker. Mr. Baker served as a Vocational Agriculture teacher at Adair County High School for many years where he impacted the lives of countless student agriculturalists. We were lucky to have him teach the tedious land judging score card, a very confusing component of the program, to the youth involved. Everyone participating in the 4-H Land Judging program would like to send a special thanks to Mr. Baker for sharing his knowledge today!!! - Katie Royse, Summer Extension Intern This story was posted on 2013-07-16 15:08:10
