By Nick Roy, Adair County Extension Agent

There's no better taste than fruits and vegetables grown right here in Adair County. Everyone is invited to get a "Taste of Adair," 9am-11amCT, Friday, July 19, 2013, at the Adair County Farmer's Market, 409 Fairgrounds Street, Columbia, KY (next to the Extension Office). Free samples of locally grown produce will be available. Try a fruit or vegetable that you've never eaten before or a new way of preparing it using KY Proud recipes. A new addition to this year's "Taste of Adair" will be locally grown beef raised by DAB farms. Contact: Adair County Cooperative Extension Service, 270-384-2317. - Nick Roy
