Mrs. Velma Wallace Blaydes, age 86, of Metcalfe County, passed away Friday at the Metcalfe Health Care Center in Edmonton, KY.

The funeral services for Mrs. Velma Wallace Blaydes will be conducted at 1pmCT/2pmET, Monday, July 15, 2013, at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial in the Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:30pm-8pmCT/3:30pm-9pmET, Sunday, July 14, 2013, and after 7amCT/8amET, Monday at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home.

Velma Wallace Blaydes was born October 20, 1926. She died July 12, 2013, in Edmonton, Metcalfe County, KY, at the age of 86 years, 8 months, and 22 days.

She is survived by her sister: Dorothy Wallace of Edmonton, KY, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial donations are suggested to the Gideon Bible Fund and can be made at the funeral home.

The Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY in charge of arrangements.
