James E. Grider, 79, a resident of Summit Manor Health & Rehab Center, died Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at 10:17amCT, at the Westlake Regional Hospital Emergency Room, Columbia, KY.

Graveside service will be on Friday, July 5, 2013 at 2pmCT/3pmET, at the Grider Cemetery on Hwy. 531 with Rev. Gene Conover officiating. Burial to follow. There will be no visitation.

He was born Friday, September 1, 1933, in Adair County, KY. He was the son of the late Owen & Arlie Calhoun Grider. He died Wednesday, July 3, 2013, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 79 years, 10 months, and 2 days.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ernest & Howard Cline.

He is survived by the following:
  • His sister, Florence Grider of Columbia, KY

  • And several other relatives and friends
